Making Lunch with Last Night's Dinner

Everyday I cook, everyday I go through the trouble of thinking of what to cook.  Can you relate?  Well, today I made a lunch with last nights dinner.  I made roast pork with vegetables, I had plenty left over, so I made them into patties today.  Kneaded together some flour (King Arthur Gluten Free Flour and Bob's Red Mill All Purpose Flour Blend #glutenfree #wheatfree) with some water, placed the veggies and meat inside.  Fried a bit on both sides. :)  Was delicious and super easy to make too.  Depending on what you can have, and like, you can add cheese and other ingredients for more fun.  What did you have for lunch?  Have you made anything like this before?

ZeroWater Pitcher Review & G!veaway

Right in time, after Earth Day start filtering your own water instead of buying bottled water with a ZeroWater Pitcher.  Easy and convenient, and was great to see the results, specially with the TDS Tester that it comes with, which shows you the amount of solids dissolved in your water.  Thought it was a very convenient tool, and was surprised with the results, as I tested out the different waters we drink.  We drink lots of water here, it is the main thing we drink around here so I was anxious to try the TDS meter right away.
I called my husband over so I can show him the tap water he likes to carelessly drink has a hundred plus reading on the TDS meter, but was pleasantly surprised that our tap water showed "33" as the results.  Meanwhile the bottled water I had at the time of testing had "87," not happy about that!?  Was actually upsetting to see that reading on bottled water- that I do depend on to be 'pure'.  After those startling results, we ran both through the filter that has a 5 stage dual Ion exchange filter system which features:
"Certified* to reduce Lead, Chromium & Mercury
Patented 5-Stage Dual-Ion Exchange filtration system
Ion-Exchange system that removes virtually all dissolved solids in your water
The FDA requires the TDS level in PURIFIED bottled water to reach 000-010ppm. ZeroWater is the only water filter in its class to achieve this level."
convenient to store your TDS meter right on the lid of pitcher
After running through the filter and pouring through the convenient spout the pitcher features, was happy to say all showed a great "000" which all our drinking water should show as.  It tasted crisp and so clear, I was so upset at the pack of bottled water we had recently purchased (a different brand than the usual one we get) I ran all of it through the filter, and of course placed all bottles to recycle.
no guessing on when to change filters with the TDS meter
Overall I love the design of the pitcher and the most important part, how well it filters too.  It tastes so clear and crisp, to think I was missing out on really good "tasting" water before.  The convenient TDS meter definitely made us more interested in seeing the results and had us three standing in a triangle to see the results. LOL ;)

What Are You Doing to get Your Skin Spring Ready? - Dial NutriSkin Challenge! #DialNutriSkin #Cbias

Great selection of skin care to choose from at Walmart
What kind of skin do you have?  And how are you caring for it?  I used to have great skin, I used to!  In the past two years, my skin has become so sensitive to everything, to the cold, to the sun, even to some skin care products.  I don't know why exactly, but I know half of it was because of I didn't care for my skin enough.  My son had severe eczema from when he was  few months old because of his food allergies, I made sure I took care of his skin, properly moisturizing twice daily.  In the midst of worrying about him, I did less for me, I took a quick shower and didn't bother to moisturize after.  Slowly but surely it started to show with extra sensitive skin, not caring properly was definitely a reason for it.  I'm taking steps now to give extra care for my skin, as well as trying to find what works best by doing a Dial NutriSkin Challenge.  I headed to Walmart to purchase the Dial NutriSkin Replenishing Lotion for Sensitive Skin.
Easy choices that covers many needs.
I have gotten so much better with caring for my skin compared to the first year of my sons life, but still have to make sure to care for my skin better.  My biggest thing at this time of year, a bit more than the colder seasons is to prepare my skin for the warmer days.  Spring and Summer means more time outside, and more exposure to sun.  In the past year, my skin has become extremely sensitive to the sun, if I sit out exposed for too long, I don't just get sunburn but a horrible rash that follows after, and that is with proper sun protection.  I was interested in doing a Dial NutriSkin challenge, where I made sure to use the Replenishing Lotion for sensitive skin for five days straight to see how it worked and to see the results.
Before...
After... Wish you could FEEL the difference.
I know you can't see the difference so much, but
try it out for yourself, so you can. :)
Calling it a challenge and sharing it with you all made me make sure to really apply daily to see real results.  I also used the Dial NutriSkin Body Wash which made the experience even better.  I enjoyed the selection, the great prices were hard to pass up as well.  Glad the choices were made easy and simple, you can see my photo story here on Google+.  The Dial NutriSkin lotion for sensitive skin is fragrance free and hypo-allergenic with nutrients the skin needs, so I was confident with every application.  One of my favorite parts of it is how it dissolves quickly and doesn't linger with an oily residue like feel, as some lotions/creams do.  I was excited to see the results right away with the very first application and really see an all around difference by the second day.  I love the scent I chose for the body wash (white peach & shea butter) and the fragrance free replenishing lotion was perfect to use with.  It is affordable skin care that works.  You can't see in the "before and after" pictures, but if you could feel, my skin is so much softer than it was before.  I'm glad to have added using #DialNutriSkin to my skin care routine.  Get more information, tips and more, as well as other who have done the "challenge" here.  You can find Dial on twitter, and facebook where you can keep up to date, and even get answers to any questions you may have.

Convert Your Coins to a Stop & Shop Gift Card #NoFeeCoinstar #Cbias

What do you do with all your coins? Over the years, the amount of coins in our pockets have decreased as we did less cash transactions but we still get a nice amount that we take to the bank a few times a year. Recently I took notice of the Coinstar kiosks at Stop & Shop, and learned of a new feature that you can convert your coins directly into a Stop & Shop gift card that you can use towards your grocery shopping. We usually take our change into our bank that allows us to deposit into our accounts with no fee, but being able to use our change towards my shopping right away sounded great, also with no fee, so that was convenience doubled!
Coinstar visible as I walk in...
I can count on them for fresh produce
I shop at Stop & Shop with my family all the time, it could be a stop to buy some simple snacks or important essentials we depend on like a special diet product they carry, either way we frequent often. One particular location carries a great variety of items that are food allergy friendly which is what brings us back every time, and it does help that they have a great selection of everything else as well as fresh produce too. You can learn more about Stop & Shop on their Facebook page as well. Although we visit at least once a week or two, I have never noticed the Coinstar kiosk available near the entrance until I heard of this feature I was interested in using, even though it is right there ahead of me every time I grab a cart. I brought the "bottle" of coins we had filled up and headed to the Stop & Shop store excited to try it out and apply to our grocery shopping.
Easy, clear on screen instructions
I was excited to see all the signage right on the Coinstar kiosk, but soon found out the option wasn't available yet. I ended up trying out Coinstar anyway since I was already there carrying all our collected coins. I chose to get an Amazon gift card from the many choices, still with no fee and was very pleased with the experience. The screen selections were easy and to the point, it cointed my coins and I was done in no time. You can see whole my experience via a photo story here on Google+. My guess is that the feature is still new so all the kiosks weren't updated yet, but I know I will be looking forward to using #nofeecoinstar when it is for a Stop & Shop gift card, and also when I actually collect enough coins again. :)
Counting coins couldn't be easier
All done
I know I will notice Coinstar every time I see it from now on, and now a fan on Facebook as well as Twitter so I can keep up to date with their latest.  Despite not being able to try out the feature I was interested in, I'm glad I got to try it out.  If you have one near you and haven't tried it out yet, I'd give the #nofeecoinstar a try, there are many choices to choose from.  Have you tried Coinstar before?

*I have been paid (at Coinstar’s request) to try and blog about Coinstar’s products/services as part of a Collective Bias shopper insights study. All opinions are my own.
